Roooooar Pen Pal,

I had a blast at the zoo today, right here in our own backyard of ATLANTA. The Zoo Atlanta was full of teachers, kids and most importantly…Animals! Some animals were very small and some were enormous. No matter what size they were, I learned that we have to be very careful and take care of our planet so that our animals can live on it with us. I don’t know about you, but I love animals…especially cats. Take a lot at all of my cool zoo pics!

Gorillas are really big and I learned that they do not climb trees like other primates…like monkeys

Zoo Atlanta has great shows that teach about all kinds of animals

A Racoon Dog or Tanuki. The Tanuki are the only members of the dog family that hibernate in the winter

Orangutan means “man of the forest”. They are really smart animals.

The Komodo dragon is the largest living lizard in the world!

Red Pandas are actually NOT bears! They’re more like racoons. They sleep during the day because they’re nocturnal.

I otter say something clever about otters. Like the fact these otters can live in family groups of up to 12! That’s a big dinner table.

Elephants are reeeally strong and powerful. And they’re very smart.

This is as close as I’m going to get to an African elephant…right now

I don’t know if I could stand on one leg that long!

Hakuna matata! It’s a Warthog.

A giraffe’s neck can be over 6 feet long! That’s taller than my whole body!
